FAQ Q1: Is it possible to arrange a demo for product evaluation? A1: We understand the value of experiencing our directional speakers firsthand. While we don’t offer free demo units, we will do our best to provide you with a low-cost option for evaluation. Let’s discuss how we can assist you! Q2: How is the sound quality of Audfly directional speakers? A2: Audfly’s ultrasonic directional speakers are designed to deliver focused, narrow beams of sound, making them ideal for specific sound zoning applications. While they excel in delivering precise and clear audio in targeted areas, it’s important to note that the sound quality, especially in the low-frequency range, differs from that of traditional Hi-Fi speakers or headphones. If you’re looking for a solution that prioritizes accuracy in sound direction, our speakers are an excellent choice, though they may not be suited for deep, bass-heavy audio reproduction. Q3: How far does the sound beam from Audfly directional speakers reach? A3: The reach of Audfly’s directional speakers depends on various factors, such as ambient noise and objects in the environment. In very quiet settings, the sound can be audible at distances up to 150 meters, though for optimal performance and precise directionality, we recommend positioning listeners between 1 and 5 meters from the speaker. Additionally, it's important to note that sound propagation occurs at a certain angle, and as the sound travels farther, the area it covers increases. While the exact distance of sound travel is influenced by environmental conditions, think of it like a flashlight—its beam can reach far, but clarity diminishes with distance. For best results, positioning the speaker closer to the target area ensures a clearer and more focused sound experience. Q4: What is the size of the listening area for Audfly directional speakers? A4: Audfly’s directional speakers have a radiation angle of approximately 15 degrees, and the size of the listening area varies by model. For instance, the Model B1 covers an area of about 1 square meter at a typical mounting distance of 2-3 meters. This focused sound delivery allows for precise and targeted audio, making it ideal for applications where concentrated and clear sound is needed. A5: What happens when the sound beam hits an object? Q5: When the sound beam from Audfly’s directional speakers encounters an object, it behaves like any sound wave—being absorbed, reflected, or scattered. On flat surfaces such as walls or floors, the beam maintains its directivity, reflecting similarly to a laser beam off a mirror, which helps maintain good acoustic isolation. This characteristic allows the sound to be perceived as originating from the point of reflection, effectively creating the effect of virtual sound sources. This feature is particularly useful for applications requiring virtual audio experiences. Q6: Is there any sound leakage outside the beam of Audfly directional speakers? A6: While there is some minimal sound leakage outside the beam, it is extremely quiet, with sound levels dropping by over 90% just outside the focused area. Think of it like a flashlight beam: in a dark room, the light is concentrated, but you might still see a faint glow outside the beam. Similarly, in a very quiet space, you might hear a faint sound outside the beam, but this is usually not noticeable in typical environments with ambient noise. Sound leakage is generally well-contained in larger spaces. In smaller rooms with many reflective surfaces, sound absorption materials like carpets and curtains can help reduce any spillover. Q7: Can Audfly create custom-sized directional speakers? A7: Yes, we can produce custom-sized directional speakers to meet your specific requirements. The size of the speaker impacts its output volume, frequency response, and coverage area—larger speakers provide greater volume and a wider frequency range, while smaller speakers offer more limited output and coverage. Please note that custom orders do require a minimum quantity. Additionally, we offer the Alpha 160 directional sound module, which is a standard module specifically designed for integration with kiosks, digital signage, self-service machines, and similar devices. We are also continuously updating our product line to provide even more suitable options for our customers. Contact us with your needs, and we’ll be happy to help with a solution tailored to your application. Q8: Are you manufacturer or trade company? Where is your factory? A8:We are the manufacturer since 2015. Our Factory is in Suzhou city, Jiangsu Province. (near Shanghai Seaport). Q9: What kind of Certification do you have? A9: We have CE, RoHs, CCC, FCC, ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and so on. Q10: What is the lead time for Audfly directional speakers? A10: For smaller quantities (fewer than 100 units), our speakers are typically in stock and can be shipped as soon as payment is received. For larger orders or custom requests, lead times may vary. Please contact us with your specific requirements for a more accurate estimate.
